Online Invoice 2.0

Changes in Online invoice data reporting from July 1, 2020

We would like to inform you of the changes in the online invoice data reporting system started on July 1, 2018: previously all the outgoing invoices where the VAT amount was higher than HUF 100,000 had to be reported online to the Tax Authority’s system, but from July 1, 2020 all outgoing invoices shall be reported.

Online Invoice: The interface specification and XSD scheme, version 2.0, to be used from April 1, 2020

As of 1st April 2020, the XSD, version 2.0, must be applied in the Online Invoice System, data disclosure with the usage of version 1.1 will not be possible any more from that day.
The Tax Authority published the final 2.0 version interface specification and XSD scheme connecting to data disclosure on the following web page: https://onlineszamla.nav.gov.hu/dokumentaciok Software developers could have been testing the new version since 5 October 2019.
The process of transition:
• The XSD, version 2.0, can already be used from 23:00, 27 February 2020 until midnight on 31 March 2020 in the production Online Invoice System; however, its application is not mandatory yet.
• However, solely the XSD, version 2.0 will be applicable as of 1st April 2020 in the productive environment and the necessary program modifications must be arranged until this date. After this date, NTCA system will not process data disclosures sent with the usage of the XSD scheme, version 1.1, and valid data disclosures cannot be provided with this scheme any more.
In the production environment, services of invoice data query and taxpayer query, versions 2.0 and 2.1, will also change, together with opening the data disclosure possibility according to the XSD, version 2.0. Following upgrading maintenance, these operations will work in line with the new specification, therefore at these services and for the complete transition, you must also be prepared for the changes to be published under the 2.8 version of Online Invoice System.
For the seamless transition, please regularly monitor latest information to be published in developers’ diary, in the menu item IT changes as well as in the News item.
